Brass Urns: Everyday care of a brass urn or item is simple and easy. A dusting from time to time will generally keep the brass urn or item looking nice.

Due to the mixed metals that are used to make brass, tarnish or small grey or brown spots may develop. If tarnish develops, simply use a soft cloth with a dab of brass polish and gently rub the tarnished area. Then take the second clean cloth and gently buff the urn back to its original luster. Please use caution around engraved areas as repeated cleaning with brass polish may wear down the engraved areas.Brown/gray spots on the brass are very common and are due to the mixed metals in the brass. These spots are not tarnish and can not be removed.

Aluminum & Alloy Urns: Everyday care of a aluminum or alloy urn is simple and easy. A dusting from time to time will generally keep the brass urn or item looking nice. When needed you can use some soapy water and a soft damp cloth to clean tough areas and a soft dry cloth to dry.

Stainless Steel Jewelry: This type jewelry will not tarnish due to moisture or water exposure. However, over time, exposure to water/moisture may break down the adhesive you used to seal the opening of the item closed. Please check the opening periodically and re-seal when necessary. To keep your stainless steel jewelry’s shine, simply use some soapy water and a cloth to clean and polish your Stainless Steel jewelry.

Sterling Silver Jewelry: This type jewelry will tarnish naturally over time and exposure to moisture or water will speed up the tarnishing process.  If your Sterling Silver jewelry is not cleaned regularly it may be hard to restore to its original luster. Please clean your Sterling Silver jewelry with a mild silver polish and polishing cloth. Regular maintenance will keep your jewelry radiant and bright. Please know that water/moisture may break down the adhesive you used to seal the opening of the item closed. Please check the opening periodically and re-seal when necessary.
